Write about something you purchased used.

When I lived in Japan, it was a BL lover's paradise. While I did buy a considerable amount of manga new, I did get a large chunk of manga and doujinshi used.

For years I've read scanlated and fan-translated BL from a website of dubious legality that I won't name here. I bookmarked the ones I loved, and when I moved to Japan, I looked them up and bought them. Yes, they are in Japanese, but they are keepers. I remember enough of the story for the manga to make sense to me, and if I forget, I still have my bookmarks on that site to do a refresher.

Japanese used manga is in a class of its own. The condition of the books I got were like brand-new even if the seller said it was "slightly used" or had "slight imperfections." I never ran into that with all of the manga that I bought. My books are in great shape and I hope they stay that way now that they are on my shelves in the USA.
