This tag comes courtesy of Youtuber Katytastic! It's another fun tag with scenarios as prompts, all about things that test our mettle as readers. Let's go!

You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

A lot of it just depends on my mood and what kind of taste I have that day. I also try to go for newer books first; I don't know why.

You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?

I used to try to commit to the book, but now I just rationalize that I've got too many other books to read, so why suffer? I DNF.

The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?

I haven't actually tried any Goodreads challenges before until this year. If I'm reasonably close to the number I'll try to catch up, but maybe with smaller books like novellas or graphic novels. I'm pretty confident I'll make this year's Goodreads goal as I only listed 38 books, and I've already beaten that number thanks to the number of comics I've read.

The covers of a series you love do. not. match. How do you cope?

I don't cope. I stir in my anger juices. I hate it when publishers do this. I hate it when they do it with book sizes, too. There go my pretty shelves!

Everyone and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

I go to the 1 and 2-star reviews on Amazon or Goodreads to see if I can find validation.

You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?

I don't really cry at books or sob uncontrollably in public. I think if I would cry, the tears would fall silently. I'd just make sure I have tissues handy.

A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads? Cry in frustration?!?!?!?

It depends on how lengthy the book is and how much time has passed between releases. If it's reasonable, I'll reread the book. Otherwise I look for a summary somewhere.

You do not want anyone, ANYONE, borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?

I would just say I don't loan books out because too many people have lost or destroyed them. People usually don't ask to borrow my books anyway, but I remember one time I let friends borrow a book and they gave it back to me with coffee stains all over it. I was so pissed. I won't let anybody borrow my books again.

Reading ADD - You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?

I'll read BL comics instead. I never get sick of it and it's my go-to if I can't stomach a novel at the moment.

There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?

2-3 if I'm super impatient, and I'll only buy physical copies now if the book looks really good. Otherwise I add the eBook to my wish list and then keep an eye daily on the prices until it drops. I've purchased a lot of $1.99 books that way.

After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?

Unless I'm unbelievably excited for it, they'll be unread for months. Oops.

Can you take a wild guess as to whom I'm tagging?
