Chocolate Chip | A Classic Book That You Love or Really Enjoyed
Although I haven't touched this book since high school, I remember reading it in 10th grade and loving it all because of Sydney Carton. There are so many excellent quotes from this book as well...it's probably my favorite Dickens classic.
Thin Mints | A Fandom That You Really Want to ‘Join’ and/or a Hyped-Up Book You Want To Read
I've seen Tor hype this book up for months and I finally purchased it to read on my Kindle. I haven't started it yet because I'm working through a YA anthology at the moment, but I hope to get into it soon. I don't know if there's a large fanbase gunning for this book, but it's one of the most-advertised books I've seen in a while.
Shortbread | An Author You Can’t Get Enough Of
Margaret Rogerson! The last book I read of hers was Mysteries of Thorn Manor, a follow up to Sorcery of Thorns. She's an auto-buy for me and I can't wait for her next book!
Samoas | An Emotional Rollercoaster
Aeju's R-rated BL manhwa An Easy Target is a really dark story with a lot of violence and assault. Sometimes I like to read dark things, and this webtoon had me hooked. I never could predict how much crazier things were going to get, and I really felt awful for the main character!
Oreos | A Book Whose Cover Was Better Than The Story OR Vice Versa, Where The Story Was Better Than Its Cover
There was a book marketed as a reverse-gender take on The Picture of Dorian Gray that had the most beautiful collage cover of Victorian imagery. It's too bad the book was a let-down.
Tagalongs / Peanut Butter Patties | A Book That Wasn’t What You Expected
This book surprised me because although it had a dark setup, the book was whimsical and funny.
Snickerdoodles | A Book You May Never Stop Rereading/ Loving
I have hyped this book so much on this blog over the years. It remains one of my favorites. Now, I don't really reread books, but I know that I'll love this one for a long time.
