How many books do you usually read at once?
I read one novel at a time, but while I'm reading that book, I'll also read web comics or graphic novels. I read about six different new episodes of web comics daily in addition to whatever book I'm reading. Sometimes I'll read 1-2 books of manga while I'm reading a novel, on top of all the web comics I read. No matter how much reading I do, though, I cannot read more than one novel at one time. I'm not sure why.
If you're reading more than one book at a time, how do you decide when to switch to reading the other book (do you read a certain amount of pages in each?)
I don't go by page counts or chapters. It's literally what mood I'm in or what emotions I want to feel at the time that will dictate when I switch out what I'm reading.
Do you ever switch bookmarks while you're partway through a book?
Nope. I'm not really sure what the point of this would be.
Where do you keep the book you're currently reading?
In my Kindle on the kotatsu table or the end table next to my couch bed.
What time of the day do you spend the most time reading?
In the evenings, usually winding down after work before going to bed.
How long do you typically read for in one go?
A couple hours.
Do you read hardbacks with the dust jacket on or off?
I read them with the dust jacket on. I consider them a part of the book and I don't like taking them off.
Which position do you mainly use to read?
Lying down on my back.
Do you take the book you're currently reading with you everywhere you go?
Nope, because I don't think I can take books to work, plus I'm worried about damaging the books if I take them out of a safe space.
How often do you update the progress in the book you're currently reading on Goodreads?
I only update twice on Goodreads. First, I add the book and mark it currently reading; then I note when I finish it. Sometimes I add books only when I've read them if I forget to mark them "currently reading."
