The Rainbow Book Tag

Lines of rianbow paint on a canvas--the rainbow book tag
Photo by Steve Johnson on Unsplash

I found this book tag over at Whispering Stories and I thought it would be great to share a bit of color on the blog! Of course, we've got to keep it book-themed here. I hope you enjoy this fun little post.

  1. It must be the dominant color of the COVER, not the spine!

  2. If you do not own a book of a certain color, just choose one that has the color on it somewhere.

  3. It has to be a book you own and/or has to be the exact edition you read.

  4. TAG some people to do it! Whether they be Bloggers, Bookstagrammers or BookTubers. [Author's note: I'm not doing this. If you want to participate, comment below and link back to your blog or social media!]

Volume one of Heaven Official's Blessing features red from Hua Cheng (he always wears the color as he is the Crimson Rain Sought Flower) and then the red bridal costume Xie Lian wears...not to mention the red umbrella. This is a gorgeous cover with red dominating the picture!

This is one of the many craft books I own to try and make me a better writer. I have a terrible time with plotting, so I picked up this book ages ago. The thing is....I haven't read it yet!💀

This is probably the brightest-colored book I own!

This I think is the second book in the Cursebreakers series. I love this retelling of Beauty and the Beast!

What I love about this cover is that there are so many different types of blues in it.

Indigo is like the color of blue jeans, right? While there's lots of green in this cover, the background is a dark denim blue. I hope I interpreted this right!

The background of this book has a dark violet wallpaper design. It's almost a grayish color, but when I zoomed in, it looked purple!

The covers to this duology are absolutely gorgeous.

This is a book I bought years ago right when it came out. It went on my bookshelf downstairs and I never read it. Oops!

Ok, so half of this is gray, but I think white is the predominant color, so it counts.

Once more, there's lots of gray here, but I think the predominant color is black.

So...this was kind of hard because I had to literally own all of these books, and I just couldn't remember what colors they were! But it was like a scavenger hunt, and a lot of fun. Thank you for reading!
