This Halloween-themed tag comes courtesy of Heather at The Sassy Book Geek. It's a lot of fun to fill out and perfect for the spooky season. Read on, friends!

1.) Creepy house on the corner of the street: Book with a creepy cover

Cover to Cassandra Khaw's Nothing But Blackened Teeth featuring a ghostly faceless woman with bloody mouth

Cassandra Khaw's Nothing But Blackened Teeth really creeped me out when I first saw it. It's on my TBR list for sure!

2.) Lights out (party poopers): A book you want to read when you want to escape

On or Off by A1 book cover of two handsome men in business suits at a table

If I'm ever needing to escape from scary things or the pressures of life, I dive into BL. I've read A1's On or Off on Tappytoon for a while, but accidentally subscribed to the all ages version, so I've been buying the books to get the adult version. I really enjoy this manhwa. It's funny and has a lot of heart, and I love the illustrations.

3.) The house that gives out the cheap candy: Guilty pleasure book

The entire collection of books in Holly Black's Folk of the AIr series

I'm going with the entire Folk of the Air series by Holly Black. These books aren't perfect and I have some issues with Jude and Cardan, but I still love these books to pieces.

4.) The house with the best decorations on the block: Best haunting/Halloween themed cover

Cover to Tamsyn Muir's "Harrow the Ninth" featuring skeletal girl surrounded by skeletons

I don't consider this a Halloween cover, but I think it's haunting and totally badass with all the skeleton imagery.

5.) The house that gives out the best candy: #1 Halloween recommendation

Cover to Stephen King's "The Shining" featuring the door to Room 217 and the word REDRUM

I've got to go with an absolute horror classic: The Shining. This is one of my favorite horror novels of all time and it still gives me the creeps. You can't go wrong with this one!

Speed Round:

1.) Corn Maze or Haunted House?

Haunted House! I love how they look and I think they are much creepier. On the other hand, I've never been to a corn maze before...I'd probably get lost.

2.) Classic or Unique Costume?

I like classic costumes! Sometimes costumes that are too unique fall flat with me, because I'm not able to recognize the joke or pun they're supposed to be, or it feels like an inside joke, or I just don't know what the costume is trying to be.

3.) Sexy or Scary Costume?

Sexy costumes are kind of stupid parodies and I think they're ridiculous. So I'm going with scary costumes!

4.) Comedy or Horror Halloween Film?

I'm going to go with a straight horror film almost every time. The one exception: The Cabin in the Woods, which I think is horror with comedic elements. I thought that movie was a lot of fun!

5.) Chocolate or Sour Candy?

I will always choose chocolate. I have very sensitive tastebuds (blander than bland) and can't stand anything sour whatsoever.
