I am absolutely pleased to announce this after all of the hard work my agent Rick Lewis has put into submitting my book Son of the Siren to publishers. Roughly one year ago I got my agent, and nearly one year later, we nabbed a book deal.
Take the German fairytales Allerleirauh and The Wild Swans, add a dash of deadly mermaids and inspiration from the Japanese kitsune, and you have a brand-new fairytale for readers who love a happily ever after.
Oliver Heber Books has an impressive roster of authors, such as Sherrilyn Kenyon and Kerrigan Byrne. They have NYT and USA Today bestsellers plus sparkling debuts and old favorites. I'm so honored to count myself among them and am excited to join the Primera imprint.
I'm already on the website under "Our Authors" if you want to take a look!
I am indebted to so many people for bringing this to life. Katie Kenyhercz for developmental editing; Independent Book Review, Kit n Kabookle, and Haunted Unicorn Publishing for beta reading; Jay Barlow, Aisling Cornelius and many others who read excerpts of the book at some point and offered feedback. Then we have the incredible work of my agent, who is a talented editor in his own right, who spruced the book up to get it ready to go on submission. And of course, to the people at Oliver Heber books, like Kim Ostrom and Tanya Anne Crosby, who have taken a chance on my book and welcomed me with open arms.
It was a very long journey to get to this point. I always wanted to have my writing published and have a book out there in the world, and it's finally happening. A childhood dream. Thank you to all of you for your love and support over the years, and I'll see you in 2024 with Son of the Siren!
