For a long time I've wanted to leave Blogger due to its limitations, and this was especially the case after Blogspot/Blogger was hacked and several of my posts got deleted by Google (they were later restored, but it was still scary). I was going to switch to WordPress but it seemed too complicated, so now I'm here on Wix.
The major downside is I lost all of my blog posts -- more than ten years' worth -- because Wix doesn't take the XML file to back up my posts. However, I don't mind starting something new. A lot of my old posts just don't apply to my life anymore anyway.
Maybe in hindsight I'll regret losing everything, but for now I'm like, "mehh."
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this new adventure and my new website. I've decided to streamline much of it. Please wish me luck as I learn the ropes on this site!
